Finding Your Way Around

How the side drawer is organised, why two people see different menus, and where the screens in this guide actually live.

The side drawer

Everything is reached from the drawer on the left. Its entries are grouped, and the groups always appear in the same order:

Teachers also get My Class (their own class's students and attendance) and My Timetable. Their own attendance record, My Attendance, sits at the top of the Attendance group.

Your account menu

The round badge at the top right of every screen (your photo, or your initial) opens the account menu. It holds:

  • My Profile — your own details. Teachers edit their teacher record here; administrators edit their name, mobile number, designation and email.
  • Account Settings — username and password.
  • Preferences — the colour Theme and the Display density (Automatic, Comfortable or Compact; Compact fits more rows on small or older screens).
  • Log out.

The app's version is shown at the bottom of the drawer — quote it when you contact support.

Why your drawer looks different from a colleague's

The drawer is not a fixed menu. It is built from the screens you are allowed to open, so:

  • A group you have no access to does not appear at all — it is not greyed out.
  • A group you can only reach one screen in collapses into a single tile, without the expandable header. So "Timetable" may appear as a group for an admin and as a single My Timetable link for a teacher.
  • Two people with the same job title can still see different menus, because access is granted per screen in Administration → Access Control, not per role.

If a screen this guide describes is missing from your drawer, that is an access question, not a bug. Ask whoever administers your institute to check Access Control.

Getting back

The bar across the top shows breadcrumbs for where you are. Detail screens — a student profile, a single exam class — highlight their nearest parent in the drawer rather than an entry of their own, so the drawer stays put while you drill down.
