The KinderCare Parent App

What parents see — observations, themes, calendar and payments — and how one device handles more than one child.

The five tabs

  • Observations — what staff recorded about your child, usually with photos.
  • Student — your child's profile.
  • Calendar — what's coming up.
  • Themes — the theme plans the setting is working through.
  • Payments — your payment records.

Finding a particular observation

Observations filter by growth milestone, activity type and date, with Clear to reset them. The growth-milestone filter is the useful one when you want to see progress in a single area over time rather than reading the feed day by day.

Payments

The Payments tab lists your payment records and takes you out to the payment page when something is due. If it says no payment records were found, the setting hasn't raised anything against your account — it isn't a sign the app failed to load them.

More than one child, or more than one parent

Accounts are saved on the device, and Switch account moves between them without signing out and back in. Add another account adds one to the device.

Two things follow from accounts being device-local:

  • A new phone starts with no saved accounts. That's expected — sign in once and it's saved again.
  • Remove account takes it off that device only. The account itself still exists, and you can sign back in with it.
